Whether it be a full-service, first class, all-inclusive stay at the Main Lodge, or a private and exclusive service-filled retreat at our Great Gray Owl Adventure Camp or a complete DIY vacation at our luxury Lost Lake Outpost, we have a package to fit everyone's needs.

There's only one question : which one is for you?

Location

Atikaki Provincial Park was created in 1987 in an effort to preserve the Woodland Caribou. In fact, Aikens is directly adjacent to Ontario's Woodland Caribou Provincial Park, and less than 50 miles from Red Lake, Ont. Part of Atikaki's mission is to promote eco-tourism. The Bloodvein River is one of the most scenic canoeing adventures in the province. The Gammon River, which flows into and out of Aikens Lake, eventually connects to the Bloodvein River.

WHERE ARE WE LOCATED?

Arriving by plane? Most of our guests arrive in Winnipeg through the James Richardson International Airport. Visitors from Chicago, Denver, Toronto, and Minneapolis can catch any of the daily direct flights to Winnipeg. One of the advantages of Aikens Lake is its close proximity to Winnipeg. This enables anyone traveling from North America to get to our lodge in one day. Generally, this means no overnight stays in Winnipeg. If you are flying, we have an Airport Limousine Service that can bring you to Silver Falls, Manitoba. It is a 90 minute drive from the Winnipeg Airport. Driving Directly? For those who decide to drive, you can make your way directly to Silver Falls, Mb. If need be, we can set you up with accommodations at the Papertown Motor Inn in Pine Falls, Mb. They are only 10 minutes from the float base.

What I love about Aikens? The ever present welcoming attitude that starts when you exit the plane and ends, well, never actually ends from what I can tell. The entire staff which is well selected and well trained, guides who make fishing fun and easy, the size of the lake (not too small for serious fishing and not too big for novices), the breakfasts, the shore lunches, the dinners, the awards handed out at dinner, the evening fishing with dock staff making sure your boat is ready, and the bar that gives you a chance to meet fun and interesting people to share a fishing story, a joke, or life story.
