Today is a very special day for our little "Aikens social butterfly"... Annika turns 4 years old today! She has been having a lot of fun so far this offseason. Here's a short synopsis of what she's been up to:

Upon returning from the lodge, we started bringing her to a preschool twice a week. Annika cherishes those mornings and is always talking about her "nouveaux amis" (new friends). She immediately became a rockstar at school when she brought the little guitar to show and tell that her talented aunt Andrina gave her last year. Every time we pick her up from school, the teachers tell us about how she sang another song for her friends again today!

Annika also had a very exciting holiday season. She was able to go and visit Santa on several occasions, and still talks about how he ate 3 cookies off of a plate when he delivered her gifts on Christmas. As part of her presents, she received a pair of skates that she's used a few times. She has caught on very quickly and loves to get out on the ice. Happy birthday Annika! You are truly becoming a social butterfly and we hope that you continue to grow and learn as quickly as you already have!
