50hp Mercury engines for sale
oct. 2, 2009
We are back in civilization now after another great season at Aikens. Thank you to everyone who came to visit us this summer. Despite the economic worries in our industry (as well as in most industries), the a fishing trip at Aikens proved to be too strong a "lure" for many people and we ended up being quite busy once again this year. It's a testament to the quality of the "Aikens Experience", and we have our staff that thank for that!
We are at the end of our 4 year run with our guide motors, so when we left camp earlier this week we brought with us our fleet of 50hp Mercury motors. You can expect to see brand new engines on the back of our Lund Alaskan guide fleet next summer. However, we are currently in the process of doing our due diligence so we don't know which brand of motor will be coming back up with us next spring, but you can rest assured they will be reliable, quiet, powerful, and as ecologically efficient as possible!
We wanted to let all our e-readers know that we are currently selling the 50hp engines at a reduced rate of $2,500 each. Similar engines sell for $3,000 to $3,500 but we are mainly interested in selling them quickly so we can gameplan the next generation of engines coming in. We have already sold a few through word of mouth, and we are already down to 9 engines left. The Mercs were bought at the start of the 2006 season and were on the Lund fleet for 4 summers. They were the same ones used during our 2006 "PWT Celebrity Shootout" and the cowlings still bear the stickers and names of the walleye pros who participated in that event! As you know, we have maintained them very well with regular oil and filter changes, grease, and because our guide crew is so good on the water all the bottom ends and props are in great shape!
